PISHIN: Five terrorists belonging from a banned militant outfit were killed with several others, belonging to the same group were arrested on Monday.
The encounter occurred during an operation by security forces in Haramzai area.
Confrontation by exchange of fire from the terrorists’ side injured security personnel, Levies officials reported.
Weapons, explosives, and foreign currency were recovered from the terrorists, security forces claimed.
During the operation, Frontier Core (FC), Anti-terrorism Force (ATF) and Police forces took part.
The operation is still underway, after a tip off signaling presence of more terrorists in the vicinity.
Additional troops have been called on spot.
