WASHINGTON: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Saleem Mandviwalla has said that Pakistan is an important ally of US, it should trust Pakistan and should keep its borders open for Pakistanis because it is not in the benefit of both the countries.
He was talking with the South Carolina Governor at the National Prayer Breakfast at Capitol Hill Hotel.
Senator Saleem Mandviwalla attended the National Prayer Breakfast – an annual event hosted by the US Congress and The Fellowship Foundation. Chairman PPP Bilwal Bhutto Zardari was also participated in the breakfast.
The event is a series of meetings, luncheons, and dinners and has taken place since 1953. It is designed to be a forum for the political, social, and business elite to assemble and build relationships. The annual event takes place at the Washington Hilton in the nation’s capital.
Senator Saleem Mandvwalla will visit IMF office to meet IMF Mission Chief Pakistan, Heralid Finger. He will discuss the current economic situation of Pakistan and the post IMF program of Pakistan.
Senator Mandviwalla will also visit World Bank to discuss US-PAK bilateral and economic relations of both countries.
Senator Saleem Mandviwalla said that USA is an important ally of Pakistan. Pakistan needs to strengthen its political and economic ties with the USA; such visit will augment the bilateral ties between the two countries.
