KHYBER AGENCY: A militant attack on a post on the Pak-Afghan border on Friday has resulted in injuries to two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the troops “effectively responded” to the attack carried out by the militants from the Afghan side of the border.
The statement also reported that a “few” militants had been killed in the ensuing exchange of fire.
In the aftermath of the blast at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, that killed over 70 people and injured 250 others on Thursday night, the government decided to seal the Torkham border crossing with Afghanistan. The seal on the crossing will remain for an indefinite period with a stop being put on all kinds of communication due to security concerns.
