ISLAMABAD: It was disclosed on Monday that US President Donald Trump has written a letter to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan asking for Pakistan’s help in the Afghan peace process.
According to details, the PM told the reporters and TV anchors that he received a letter from Trump earlier today during a meeting in Islamabad today.
In the letter, Donald Trump has asked Pakistan to play its part in Afghan peace talks which are aimed at catalysing an end to the 17-year invasion of Afghanistan by US troops.
The US President further asked for Pakistan’s help in bringing the Taliban leadership to the negotiating table, PM Khan revealed.
Previously, the US 45th President blamed Pakistan for taking their money and doing nothing for them on November 19.
….We no longer pay Pakistan the $Billions because they would take our money and do nothing for us, Bin Laden being a prime example, Afghanistan being another. They were just one of many countries that take from the United States without giving anything in return. That’s ENDING!

However, PM Khan responded back in a series of tweets saying that Pakistan’s record needed to be “corrected”.
