Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has made it clear that no talks with India can be held without taking Kashmir issue into consideration.
His statement came in the wake of Indian army chief’s threats to Pakistan. Chaudhry said that India must review its oppressive policies against Kashmiris.
Responding to the India’s objection on the issuance of postal stamps with the picture of Burhan Wani, the information minister said that the stamps were the reflection of the fact that Pakistan considers Wani a freedom fighter.
“All Kashmiris martyred in the Indian-occupied area are freedom fighters as they are sacrificing their lives while resisting against the Indian oppression,” Chaudhry said.
He further said that Kashmir issue is the prime concern between India and Pakistan.
Moreover, the minister said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was being grilled over the allegations of corruption ‘hence his government wanted to deflect the attention of their masses from the issue’.
