A household using a single stove is likely to use around two MMBTUs, or 56.6 cubic metres, of natural gas a month, placing them in the first slab of consumers. The gas price for such a household will increase from Rs219 to Rs499, after the implementation of new prices. The bill will inflate in winter months with additional consumption of gas for heating of water and houses.
