SHIKARPUR: A woman was shot dead by her husband’s nephew over some unknown issues in Muhammad Hassan Jakhrani village in Shikarpur on Saturday.
According to SHO Muhammad Shahban Kunbhar, a woman identified as 35-year-old Aamul Khatoon, wife of Ali Muhammad Jakhrani, was shot dead by the nephew of her husband with a shotgun.
The accused managed to escape after committing the crime while the motive behind the murder could not be ascertained, SHO said.
The police handed over the body of the deceased woman to her relatives after conducting postmortem examination from RBUT Civil Hospital Shikarpur.
An FIR will be registered after conducting burial formalities, SHO said. The accused remains at large till the filing of this report.
