LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday said that he has put his health at stake to ensure the welfare of the people of Punjab but a “handful of people still protest to gain political benefits.”
Speaking at an inauguration ceremony of a hospital in Punjab, Shehbaz said that people of the province are being provided high quality medical facilities.
“We have installed a CT-scan machine in every district of the province, while Mayo Hospital’s surgical tower has European-standard facilities. We formed a network of hospitals in Punjab, but in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, this is not the case,” Shehbaz continued.
Taking jabs at PTI Chairman Imran Khan and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, the Punjab CM said that “u-turn Khan” has destroyed KP, while he added that Asif Zardari has “torn Karachi into pieces”.
Continuing his jibes at Imran, Shehbaz said: “u-turn Khan and Ilzam (accusation) Khan says he has transformed KP, but quite the contrary, he has destroyed the province.”
He aslo challenged the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to probe into corruption allegations against him saying that if corruption of worth a single penny is proved against him, “you can grab me by the neck.”
