LAHORE: In a recent notification, federal government has decided to suspend licences for automatic weapons.
The licence holders are provided with an option to convert their automatic weapons into semi-automatic weapons through licensed arms dealers or Pakistan Ordnance Factories and get it verified by the district police office before January 15, 2018
However, one more option is to submit the weapons at the office of deputy commissioner, district magistrate, the district coordination officer or the political agent, and receive a compensation of 50,000.
Failure to comply with the given options will result in the cancellation of the prohibited bore licence.
