ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s general council held its intra-party elections today, where it voted for Nawaz Sharif as party president a day after amending the party’s constitution.
According to party sources, the change in its manifesto was brought to rid it of a certain ‘dicators remanants’.
Former PM will address his supporters and the media after the intra-party polls.
Nawaz Sharif’s path was cleared further after the Elections bill 2017 was passed on Monday in the national assembly, the bill has a controversial clause that allows individuals disqualified from holding public office to lead parties.
