ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has dismissed a petition seeking the disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan.
Sources informed media that the ECP had dismissed the petition as it was not persuaded with regards to the matter. The petition was filed by Hashim Bhutta, however, the petitioner remained absent during the hearing.
Sources said the petition sought disqualification of the PTI chief under article 62 and 63 of the constitution. The petition was to be heard on Monday but ECP dismissed it because of the absence of the petitioner.
