LAHORE: Former Punjab governor and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Chaudhry Sarwar said on Sunday that ‘corruption is the root cause of deterioration of Pakistan’s society and institutions’.
According to Sarwar, free and fair accountability must be ensured irrespective of the party affiliations as it is the only way corruption can be eradicated from the country.
“The only way to get rid of corruption is to hold all accountable who are guilty of corruption. Census will play important role to bring a change in the country”, he said.
He maintained that all those longing for a change are standing by the PTI and its Chairman Imran Khan and suggested that a ‘transparent’ investigation of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane crash be conducted.
“The party has always done politics of principles and we’ve not been affiliated with any corrupt person,” the PTI leader claimed.
