THATTA: Prime Minister (PM) Mian Nawaz Sharifclaimed that his government will reconstruct Sindh and dress the wounds of poor people.
The PM said this while addressing a big rally at the Makli Stadium here on Thursday.He visited Thatta on the invitation of the Sheerazibrothers.
Nawaz said, “I am very happy to visit Thata. There is a relation of love between you and us and we will resolve all the problems as identified by the Sheerazi Brothers. Though these problems pertain to the provincial government, but nevertheless we would resolve it.” He said that if the provincial government is not ready to consider the people’s issues, the federal government will resolve them. He said that we will reconstruct Sindh with our resources. He said I always walk my talk. He said before our government the situation of electricity load shedding was the worst, but now it is gradually improving.
Nawaz said that his government would focus on the villages of Sindh and give their people a new hope and aspiration. “We would make the villages of Sindh even better than the towns of Punjab. We will also develop the city of Karachi. This is a difficult task, but with the help of the masses we will achieve it. I will never leave your alone.”
On the demand of the Sheerazi Brothers, the Prime Minister announced to set up a 500-bed hospital in Thatta. He said the scheme of health card has already been running in Punjab, Balochistan, FATA, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and GilgatBaltistan, but we will also give health cards to the people of Sindh and the KP provinces. He said irrespective of the Sindh government pays its share or not, we will issue health cards to the people of Sindh. He said this is a task to assist the poor people and in this regard a comprehensive survey would be conducted. He said poor and low-income people with the help of the health cards would get access to quality healthcare facilities in government and private hospitals. He said they would start this scheme to serve the poor to get the blessing of Allah, the Almighty.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that people should pay their electricity bills, adding that those who do not pay their bills face problems. He said that he would send the federal minister for water and power and secretary of the ministry to visit Thatta and resolve problems of its people. He said we have already started work on motorways in Sindh province. A six-lane motorway is being constructed between Karachi and Hyderabad, which would be followed by Hyderabad-Sukkur, Sukkur-Multan and Multan-Peshawar motorways.
