In his petition, Shahid Orakzai, the petitioner, has taken plea that Muhammad Zubair does not come up to the conditions laid down for the appointment of a governor. The petition says that no written evidence was available about his eligibility under electoral laws and no ticket of any assembly was given to him during general elections 2013.
The petitioner claims that Muhammad Zubair is not the sitting member of the provincial or national assembly from Sindh. Even Chief Justice Sindh High Court (SHC) has not confirmed that Muhammad Zubair is a resident and registered voter of Sindh.He further said in his petition that Muhammad Zubair joined PML-N in 2012 and the incumbent government appointed him as chairman of Privatization Commission. He added that the chairman of Privatization Commission is not eligible to become governor of Sindh.
