ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday recovered Rs18.8 million cash in a raid at the residence of a senior official of the Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) of the United Nations.

According to details, the raid was carried out by the NAB’s Rawalpindi branch. The cash which was recovered was allegedly taken by the suspect as kickbacks from a company, says sources.

Federal Minister for National Health Services Aamer Mehmood Kiani took notice and formed three-member committee to investigate the matter. The committee has been directed to complete the inquiry within three days.
