PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman on Tuesday said that the party will take to the streets if Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government uses the parliament against the judiciary.
Taking jibes at PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Khan alleged that the former prime minister and his party are trying to use one institution of the country against another and that the party would protest to safeguard judiciary from Nawaz league’s plans.
He added that the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan has given enough opportunities to Nawaz for presenting his rhetoric. “No one in the world gets as many opportunities as Nawaz did to present his stance before the apex court,” said Khan speaking to the media.
Denying allegations regarding personal use of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government’s helicopter, Khan said that he has never used any government asset for his personal use. He added that KP government ensures that all resources are spent on the people of the province.
Referring to the upcoming Senate elections, Khan alleged that seats are being sold for a price of Rs 400 million each.
