LAHORE: Federal Minister for Statistics Senator Kamran Michael has said that Pakistan’s youth is immensely talented and will steer the country to greater heights of development and progress. Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony of Jashan-e-Azadi Hockey Mela held in Johar Town Hockey Stadium, the federal minister said that youth played a pivotal role in Pakistan Movement and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had great faith in them. The hockey festival was organised by Lahore District Hockey Association (LDHA) in collaboration with Unique Group of Institutions (UGI) to mark the 70th Independence Day. According to details, Michael said the future of the country was bright as its youth was making the nation proud through achievements in academics and sports. The federal minister further said that millions of people rendered sacrifices for the creation of Pakistan. “Nations that take lead from the sacrifices of their ancestors are the only ones that achieve greatness,” he said, adding, “All must rise above their personal, political and ideological differences for the greater good of the country”.
