MASTUNG: An attacker shot himself dead in an attempt to escape arrest in the suburb on Sunday.
According to details, Police signalled a suspected motorcycle rider at a check post. Instead, rider opened fire and tried to flee. Police personnel surrounded to suspect and in attempt to escape arrest, he shot himself.
After searching of his body, police recovered hand grenade, pistol rounds and a fake identity card from his pocket.
His body was shifted to District Headquarters hospital for identification.
