ISLAMABAD: Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had lost the Panama leaks case, keeping in mind the verdict.
During an interview, responding to a question whether Imran Khan or Nawaz Sharif had won the Panama leaks case.
“In my opinion, neither Imran Khan has won the case nor Nawaz Sharif has won it,” he said. “In my view, the people have won the case 100 percent,” he added.
When asked whether Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had lost the case or not, the former chief justice said “He has lost the case 100 percent. Now he will have to face the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) that has been formed,” he said.
He said that it was another matter altogether how the JIT would function, keeping in mind the judgment regarding documents earlier submitted in court had already been given by the apex court.
