ISLAMABAD: Hilly areas of Balochistan received first snowfall of the winter, dropping mercury to -3 degree Celsius in Quetta, Zhob and other areas on Saturday. Rain with snowfall was also reported in Chaghi, Qilla Abdullah, Chaman and other areas. Meanwhile, rain with snowfall is expected to continue in Sindh and Balochistan today (Sunday), the Met Office said. In next 24 hours, rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at a number of places in Balochistan, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. According to details, an active western disturbance is affecting Balochistan and adjoining areas, which are likely to persist over central and upper parts till Wednesday, said a Met Office official.
