Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marriyum Aurangzeb on Tuesday said that the statement of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan regarding early polls was ‘alarming for the nation.’
While criticising Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the premier talked about NRO to hide his government’s ineligibility. Meanwhile, Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that PM’s remarks were disappointing everyone.
Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah also lambasted PM Khan over his statement regarding early elections. “The PTI is unable to run the government, and keeping in consideration the state of the affairs, Imran Khan will himself resign,” Sanaullah said while talking to media. The senior PML-N leader said that the opposition was allowing the government some time because the country could not afford to hold elections after a short timeframe of three to six months. “If need be, the change of government should be in accordance with the Constitution,” he said. The reactions came after PM Imran hinted at early general election in the country. He also warned of a stern law against money laundering. “Big names are being revealed. We will not let officers following go-slow policy to succeed. “The opposition can walk away if they cannot support us,” pronounced the PM. He stressed that they would not let Shehbaz Sharif become the chairman of Public Accounts Committee.
