Amomentous move by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had made history by enrolling Sudais, a Special Child from Mardan, in the Community School at Farm Koroona Dargai.
This has been made possible by the collaboration of Elementary & Secondary Education Foundation (ESEF) with TeleTaleem under the project ‘ILMunate’ that has brought quality online education in English, Mathematics and Science to more than 130 Community schools across KP.
The Provincial Minister of Education Mr Atif Khan visited Sudais at his home and managed the occasion to launch annual enrolment drive in KP.
Sudais was homebound and unable to attend the school since three years due to partial paralysis of his body. He had studied up to grade 4 and his cognitive faculties were intact. By his enrolment in this programme, opportunities are now available for the children who face physical or social challenges. Quality online education is now available for the Special Children.
The project ‘ILMunate’ under TeleTaleem is funded by Ilm Ideas 2 (a UK Aid Programme).
