GHALLANAI: A Frontier Corps soldier was martyred and another injured when their check-post was attacked in Mohmand Agency late Saturday night. According to the political administration, the security check-post was attacked around 3 am, hours after two polio workers were killed in the agency and five others kidnapped. Three of the five kidnapped polio workers were released the same night, while two others are still missing. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra had taken notice of the attack on polio workers, seeking a report from the political administration of Mohmand Agency. The area is often witness to terrorist attacks from across the border as well as from militants inside the agency.
