LAHORE – Actress Nusrat Begum, best known for her character ‘Bil Batori’ for PTV’s hit series ‘Ainak Wala Jinn’ passed away today (Saturday) at Jinnah Hospital, Lahore.
For a year, the actress was suffering from paralysis; she was admitted to Jinnah Hospital due to respiratory issues. However, her condition wasn’t able to stabilize and she was shifted to ICU.
Unfortunately, she passed away because of a heart attack in the morning, Begum did gain immense popularity for her role in the hit 90s series, ‘Ainak Wala Jinn’.
Due to unemployment and poverty, she was forced to live a very uncertain life.
Begum was ill for quite some time and continued to struggle with her healthcare and accommodation costs.
Earlier this January, the news of her illness broke out in the media to which the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal pledged a support of over Rs 10 lacs for her treatment costs.
