ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday submitted documents related to details of party funds received from foreign-based sources in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The party submitted that petitioner Hanif Abbasi of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had not provided any evidence on accusations he had levelled against it. The documents stated that funds received by the party were neither from foreign governments nor from any other unlawful sources.
The funds had been donated by Pakistani nationals holding dual citizenships or residing in foreign countries, it said. The documents also held that the party was being dealt with discrimination, as PML-N and PPP had also received foreign funds but were not made to submit any details.
