ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz under Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has decided that Nawaz will not resign at any cost from his post.
Following the court’s verdict tumults have been witnessed among the political parties as they are demanding the PM’s resignation.
However, the ruling party has decided that Nawaz has the people’s mandate and will not resign at any cost while will return opposition with the same coin.
The PML-N has also turned down the PTI’s claim of offering Rs 10 billion to Imran Khan to stay silent and has decided to send a defamation notice to Kaptaan over his claims.
A team of legal experts has also been constituted in this regard. It was also decided in the meeting to strengthen social media for giving forceful response to opposition on social media. During the meeting, the premier rejected Imran Khan’s claim, saying that he has always presented himself before the courts and people, adding that lies and defamation have always failed against him.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif dismissed the allegation by saying, “Imran Khan has made a record of lying, I have the right to take this up in the court of law.”
