At least three Kashmiris were martyred on Friday by Indian troops in the Kupwara district of Indian-held Kashmir (IHK), reported Radio Pakistan.
The incident took place during a search operation at the Kanthwali Jammugund in Keran area of the district, according to the Kashmir Media Service (KMS).
Separately in a statement, All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani said that stability, peace and development of South Asia is linked with the settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
Earlier this month, at least seven people were killed leading to angry retaliatory protests and violent street clashes across the restive Himalayan region. The occupied valley has witnessed a surge in violence with more than 100 people killed since the start of the year.
