LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday criticised former President Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan stating that protests and claims of change didn’t bring change, work did.
CM Sharif in a statement expressed heartbreak over the state of Karachi after visiting it the past week. Sharif had met leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Awami National Party there.
He added that those who claimed of making a new Pakistan, a better Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) had yet to prove their claims.
CM criticised ‘people who only chanted the slogans of change’ during protests and their long speeches, but failed to do anything in practice. He added that his opponents had been criticising the metro bus project but didn’t really pour in alternatives that could help resolve the issue, rather still had the nerve to criticise the efforts of Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N).
