ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Saturday installed Lieutenant General Ghayur Mahmood as the new colonel of the Frontier Force Regiment (FFR) during his visit to the FFR Centre in Abbottabad, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations.
The COAS and General (r) Raheel Sharif pinned the badges of rank on Lt Gen Mahmood. A large number of serving and retired piffer officers also attended the ceremony.
Later, the COAS also addressed piffer commanding officers and hailed their contributions towards the defence of the country.
