Gujranwala: Raw material worth millions of rupee was burnt to ashes as a result of two fires erupting suddenly here on Sunday.
The first incident occurred at Sultan Pura where fire suddenly erupted in a cooking range manufacturing factory, while the second incident occurred at a cotton factory at Shaheen Abad due to a short circuit and as a material millions of rupees worth of stock was burnt ashes.
Court grants 5 days additional remand to 1122 Officials: Court has extended the physical remand of ten rescue 1122 officials for five more days.
It was told that police produced the accused involved in the lawyer’s torture case before a judicial magistrate Asif Iqbal, while the court granted five days more physical remand of the accused.
It was also reported that a large number of lawyers were gathered there and chanted slogans against rescue officials.
To avoid any incident by the lawyers, all the accused were brought there in a bullet proof van while the police force was present was deployed in large numbers at the court.
Human traffickers arrested: FIA authorities have arrested four human traffickers involved in Libya incident, here from Gujranwala, Gujrat and Mandi Baha ud Din.
Deputy Director Mufakhir Adeel said that after a migrant’s boat drowned off the coast of Libya, crackdown against human traffickers has been geared up and FIA teams as a result of different raids have arrested four accused including Nisar, Safdar, Kamran and Aslam. All the accused were involved in sending the youth abroad illegally.
