KHYBER AGENCY: A ceremony to distribute 25 wheelchairs among the disabled was held in Landi Kotal on Friday.
The gathering was held at Alkhidmat Hospital under the auspices of Alkhidmat Foundation FATA; and attended by Torkham Naib Tehsildar Shamsul Islam as chief guest, President Alkhidmat Khyber Agency Qari Said Hakeem Shinwari, local leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami, tribal elders and a large number of members of civil society. Speaking at the occasion, Shamsul Islam appreciated the act initiated by the foundation to help the helpless. The foundation workers have not only engaged in charity work but also rendered great services during natural calamities in the country, he remarked. On behalf of the administration, he assured full support to the foundation. At the end, the chief guest handed over the 25 wheelchairs to the deserving disabled persons.
