RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has declared 31 out of 74 housing schemes as illegal operating in the areas under its control.
As per details provided by the RDA spokesperson, the illegal housing schemes included Jinnah Town (Adiala), Airport Employees Cooperative Housing Society (Kotjibi), Gulshan Ali (Adiala), Janjua Town, Khapayan Millat, Rasool Town (Kotha Kala), National Town (Jitan), Khayaban Quaid (Adiala), T and T Housing Society, Morgah OGC Town (Dahgal), Hamza Town (Kiyal), Sanghar Town (Ghangal), Gulshan-e-Iqbal (Mohri Ghazan), Fazal Town (Chaklala), Gulberg Town (Wahgal), Leak Vista Residential Rawal City (Dhok Abdullah), Pam City (Kot Jibi), Jabar City (Chaklala), Usman Bulpik (Kot Jibi), Jubilee Town (Kiyal), Radio Colony (Kalree), Federation of Employees Cooperate Housing Society (Lohi Bheer), Jumar Zar Housing Project (Kiyal), Gulraiz Housing Scheme (Koth Kallan), Metro Homes (Kiyal), Babar Homes (Kalree), Prose Villas (Kiyal), Alfalah Homes (Kiyal) and others.
When deputy director Sami Ullah Khan Niazi was contacted, he viewed that 85 percent of illegal schemes were developed before the establishment of RDA. He advised the investors not to invest in such schemes.
