KHAIRPUR: The Sindh High Court, Sukkur bench, on Tuesday admitted a petition seeking action against corruption in mega development schemes in District Khairpur.
PML-F MPA Pir Sayed Rashid Shah Rashidi filed the petition in which he said that billions of rupees were being spent on the development schemes in the district but nothing had changed in the area. He said that several tenders had repeatedly been issued regarding the already completed schemes.
He said that the condition of streets and roads is worst as billions of rupees had been misappropriated in mega development projects.
The SHC had issued notices to the chief secretary, commissioner Sukkur, DC Khairpur and other concerned respondents to appear before the court on Feb 23.
