KARACHI: One man lost his life and 11 people were injured in separate road incidents in the city on Sunday.
According to rescue sources, an unknown man was killed along with 10 others who were injured in collision of two trucks on Superhighway near the Ansari Bridge.
The body and injured were shifted to Baqai Hospital Karachi.
In another incident, one Rehamt, aged 70, Shakeel, aged 25, and Razia, aged 40, were injured when they were crossed the road and unknown vehicle hit them near the FTC Building on Sharah-e-Faisal.
The injured were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment.
In yet another accident, four unknown people were injured when a van turned turtle in Landhi area. The injured were moved to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Two motorcyclists were injured after their vehicle skidded due to ongoing roadwork on under construction University Road.
The hasty re-construction of the University Road without following standard safety measures by its private contractor has already claimed many innocent lives.
