LAKKI MARWAT: The District and Sessions Judge Lakki Marwat ordered the local police to register a first information report (FIR) against a cop for kidnapping and shooting to injure a driver last month.
According to court papers, one Kifayatullah, driver of the government contractor MalakRiaz Khan, was on way to his field on December 10, 2016, when the police stopped him and bundled him in their vehicle and took him to deserted place in Ayazwala.
It was learnt that the police opened fire on him from behind and left him critically injured. He was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in Bannu.
MalakRiaz tried his best to register the case but the police flatly refused to do so and then he moved to the local court for seeking justice.
It added that the police took away Rs300, 000 cash, a pistol license and gas cylinder from the driver’s car.
