LAHORE: Law enforcers have seized a huge cache of weapons being smuggled from Peshawar to Lahore in the limits of Shahdra police, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Adil Memon during a media briefing at his office on Tuesday.
He added city police has secured the city from immense disaster after recovering a heavy quantity of illegal weapons on a tip of information.
According to details, Shahdara police arrested Faheem Sarfaraz, a resident of Kohat district, and confiscated a huge cache of arms, including repeater guns, pistols and 4,200 bullets.
The SP said that the crackdown on illegal weapons was accelerated following the special directives of DIG (Operations) Dr Haider Ashraf. The DIG appreciated the SP and his team for impounding weapons.
