LAHORE: The government on Tuesday revised petroleum prices and increased the price of petrol by Rs 1.71, reported Radio Pakistan.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said the price of petrol has been increased by Rs1.71 per litre and high-speed diesel oil will be increased by Rs1.58 per litre. for the next 15 days.
Petrol will be sold at Rs73 per litre and diesel at Rs82.
The price of kerosene oil has increased by Rs0.75 and light diesel oil has increased from Rs43.34 to Rs44 rupees.
Dar added that the government will continue to provide a subsidy of Rs3 billion on petroleum products.
“The new prices will become effective from midnight,” said the finance minister. During the previous fortnightly revision of fuels prices, petrol increased by Rs 2.25.
