LAHORE: The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) in a suo motu relating to the 22 encroachments on LDA’s property in different parts of Lahore.
As the legal proceeding went on Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar instructed the Direcot General of LDA Amna Imran Khan to present the terms and conditions of the auction in the next hearing. Furthermore, LDA was told to auction its land at reasonable prices.
It is worth noticing that DG Amna Imran Khan told the court earlier that when LDA conducted a operation against the encroachments, the individuals involved filed a petition in court against LDA.
In the hearing were present, owners of big oil companies who have been involved in the encroachments. The land will be auctioned after the presentation of terms and conditions in 15 days.
