KARACHI: The Home Department Sindh has banned the display of any kind of arms at public places.
According to a notification issued by the department, the ban is to be taken into immediate effect till July 26.
Any kind of arm-show is banned around polling stations, the notification stated and strict action will be taken against violators. The ban has been made to come into effect 10 days prior to the general elections 2018 scheduled for July 25.
Last week, Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said that troops will be stationed both inside and outside the polling stations on July 25.
