KARACHI: The anti-terrorism court on Wednesday resumed hearing of the former SSP Malir Rao Anwar’s bail appeal in the Naqeebullah murder case.
Rao Anwar along with his eleven subordinates is accused of killing Naqeebullah Mehsud and three others in a fake encounter on January 13 in Malir.
During the last hearing on June 14, the former SSP had said that he will be proven innocent in Naqeebullah murder case.
Rao denied his involvement in the case and stated that he neither caught Naqeebullah nor he killed him.
Citing that the case against him was on the basis of professional jealousy, Anwar said, “I have been nominated in the wrong case.”
Rao and others appeared before the court for the hearing today which is undergoing right now.
