KOHLU: A huge public rally was held in Kohlu on Wednesday to express dissociation with the so-called Balochistan Independence Movement and join the mainstream society for the development of the province and the country.
The rally started from Bank Chowk in Kohlu with participants carrying banners and chanting slogans in favour of Pakistan. Among others, several tribal elders also attended the gathering. The highly event was addressed by several speakers, including Dr Juma Khan Marri, Wadeera Rab Nawaz, Wadeera Ghazi Khan, Mir Sher Baz Marri, Wadeera Mir Gul Sanjrani Marri, Syed Nazim Shah, Wadeera Bevragh Marri, Umar Farooq and Mir Zarak Khan.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Jumma Khan said that projects like Gwadar Port initiated under the banner of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would change the fate of Balochistan.
All those opposing these projects are not only enemies of Balochistan but also Pakistan, he said.
The Baloch leader urged the disgruntled elements to lay down arms and start contributing in these development projects for the betterment of the province.
He said that so-called Baloch leaders pursuing the agenda of the enemies were enjoying luxurious lives in Europe while on the contrary common Baloch people were suffering the blunt of terrorism and poverty. “Be they are attackers or victims, the Baloch community is to suffer,” he added.
He said that he had launched an organization, Overseas Pakistani Baloch Unity, which would expose and confront the so-called Baloch leaders on all forums and fronts across the world by showing their true face to Baloch people and the international community. He urged the people of Balochistan to come forward and support him in his mission of peace, unity and brotherhood.
