ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi Friday said that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi should challenge the election of Senate chairman if he has reservations over it or must refrain from criticism.
Addressing a gathering here, the PTI leader asked the prime minister to retract his remarks regarding Sadiq Sanjrani.
On March 24, while addressing a ceremony in Lahore, Abbasi had alleged that the newly-elected Senate chairman held no respect as votes in his favour were bought.
Shah said that the time for any national reconciliation ordinance (NRO) is over as it neither has a place in the law nor in the constitution.
He further said that the government needs to scrutinise its claim of ending load shedding in the country as power cuts still persists.
