GUJRANWALA: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) apprehended eight passengers travelling to Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Portugal on fake travelling documents. It was said the FIA staff inspected the passport of a passenger and realised it had a fake residence visa stamp of Ukraine, which prompted the inspection of the seven others travelling with him. The FIA authorities arrested all eight passengers.
‘Human trafficker arrested’: A Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) team, after a raid, arrested an alleged human trafficker from Sambrial. The FIA team also recovered a Pakistani passport.
Breast cancer awareness walk: A breast cancer awareness walk was organized in the city that started from District Headquarter (DHQ) hospital and culminated at Munir Chowk. Doctors, paramedic staff and members of civil society participated in the walk. Participants of the walk stressed the need to create awareness about breast cancer in the society. Awareness pamphlets were also distributed to the citizens at the occasion.
CIA arrests eight: The CIA police arrested eight members of a dacoit gang and recovered illegal arms, cash and motorcycles. It was said the accused were involved in robberies throughout the province. After preliminary investigations, the accused also confessed to kidnapping people for ransom. Police recovered thousands in cash, three motorcycles and six pistols from them.
