KHYBER AGENCY: Five people, including a pro-government militia commander, were killed when a peace committee vehicle hit a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) planted by unidentified militants in Aka Khel area of Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency on Monday.
An official of the paramilitary force said that the explosion occurred in a remote area of Tirah Valley. He said volunteers of the peace committee along with Levies officials were conducting routine patrolling in the locality when their vehicle was targeted with a roadside remote-controlled bomb. Those killed in the blast were identified as Zerwali Khan, Levies officials Abdul Manan, Noor Khan, Hameed Khan and Amir Nawaz.
