KARACHI: Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan has been appointed the new vice chancellor for University of Karachi.
According to media reports, acting Sindh Governor Siraj Durrani has appointed Dr Khan as the VC who will head the university for a term of four years.
For the position, three professors from the University of Karachi were interviewed. These included Dr Khalid Iraqi, Dr Fateh Burfat and Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan.
The previous vice chancellor of the university was Dr Muhammad Qaiser who took charge of the university on February 10, 2012 and served till February 9, 2016.
