ISLAMABAD: Authorities on Thursday handed over air hostess Asma Adil’s body to her bereaved family after DNA identification test.
Only three victims’ bodies have been handed over to their families so far – with Asma’s body being the first one to be handed over which was received by her father-in-law, Muhammad Islam.
The ill-fated air hostess, on Wednesday, left her two minor children with her in-laws before she left for work. She was one of five crew members on-board the ill-fated Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-661 that crashed near Havelian.
“She was very a good daughter. She took care of everyone in the house. She was my adorable daughter,” Asma’s father-in-law said.
He said he tried to reach Asma, earlier in the day but could not get through. “I called her to tell her that the children were with the grandfather and grandmother but there was no reply. After fifteen minutes, I received her message saying ‘Thank you Abbu!’” Muhammad Islam said as tears rolled down his face.
Asma left behind four-year-old Talha and one-year-old Umme Hani, whose birthday was celebrated two days earlier.
