GUJRANWALA: Girls beat up a boy at DHQ Hospital for his flirty comments towards them. Zarina and her cousin were at the hospital when Riaz approached them and passed comments which angered the girls. They then beat up the boy with their shoes and otherpeople also joined in.
Separately, a woman tried to commit suicide after hanging her young daughter in Civil Lines Police limits. 26-year-old Nadia was facing domestic issues. On Monday she hanged her two-year-old daughter Noreen and later tried to hang herself but her family intervened and foiled her attempt. Meanwhile, dozens of citizens staged a demonstration against police for involving a youth in a bogus drug case. Family of the arrested young man along with other residents of Gondlanwala blocked GT Road and shouted slogans against Aroop police.
They alleged that the SHO arrested Arshad in a fake drug peddling case. Separately, a man injured his father, brother, and sister over a property dispute at Balewali Gujranwala. Tariq had a quarrel with his family and in a fit of rage he injured his father Liaqat, brother Shahid and sister Lubna. Cantt police have arrested Tariq and his wife.
