Two influential police officers have indulged in a savior dispute which may open a new Pandora box for Sindh government.
The matter started on Friday when a letter was written by former SSP of Sindh Police Niaz Ahmed Khoso to NAB in which he alleged that SSP Rao Anwar has been involved in money laundering worth Rs 85 billion, according to the details.
In the letter, Niaz Khoso has stated that Rao Anwar has always managed to get the posting as SSP Malir District which comprises on Gadap Town, Bin Qasim Town and the Airport area. He has managed to depute and plant his close associates at the airport and with their help he has illegally transferred 85 billion rupees out of Pakistan.
Niaz Khoso in his letter to NAB further submitted the details of as many as 90 visits to the UAE of Rao Anwaar during the last 5 years with the dates and flight numbers.
Rao Anwaar has rejected all the allegations in his response and has termed them completely baseless.
It is pertinent to mention here that in the previous month a case was registered against Mehrab Khoso a Sub-Inspector of the Anti-Encroachment Force and son of Niaz Khoso in Sachal Police Station that comes within the jurisdiction of Rao Anwar.
A source within Sindh Police has informed that these two officers have been considered to have had a close relationship with some influential personalities of Pakistan People’s Party and this Pandora’s box can create problems for the provincial Government.
A few months ago SSP Rao Anwar was suspended by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah for arresting a MQM leader Khawaja Izhar but after some weeks he got his position back after various visits to Dubai.
