ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has imposed a fine of one million rupees on a private TV channel for airing indecent content, said a press release on Friday.
PEMRA also warned the channel to be vigilant on selection of the theme of the dramas, keeping in view the provisions of Electronic Media (Programmes and Advertisements) Code of Conduct 2015, socio-cultural norms and values of the country.
The authority also directed the TV channel to appoint an in-house committee for avoiding any violation of Electronic Media (Programmes and Advertisements) Code of Conduct, 2015.
