JHELUM: At least 54 suspects were arrested by police and security forces during joint search operations conducted in Jhelum and Lodhran areas on Friday.
Sources stated that police and security forces carried out door to door search operations of 50 houses in different parts of Lodhran and apprehended 40 suspected persons. Biometric verification of the arrested people was also conducted.
Weapons were recovered from the possession of one suspect while police took 10 motorcycles into their custody from Lodhran.
Meanwhile 14 other suspects were apprehended from Jhelum during search operation conducted by police and security forces.
Police authorities said that cases were registered against all the arrested suspects under Rent act.
